Orbit Around My Cranium

You know how in cartoons when someone gets hit on the head they have birds and stars fly around their noggin? I wish that happened in real life...without the LSD, I mean.

Also, other words I could've used for "Head" are "Crown", "Skull", or "Noodle".

Too Soon

I love Christmas. It's by far my favorite holliday. However, it's still over a month away so can we please just hold off on the Christmas music for a little longer? At least wait till Thanksgiving is over.
Thank You.

The Hardest Part About Rollerblading

My good friend Skyler whom I've known almost my whole life just showed me this video the other day from Human Giant. It's a comedy group with a style very similar to The Whitest Kids U' Know. It was pretty funny.

I Wanna Walk Like You, Talk Like You...Duba Duba Do

As everyone knows, Batman is by far the greatest super hero of all time. I've dreamed of being batman (or just doing batman-ish things) ever since I first saw the cartoon. I've actually done my own research and made designs of different gadgets that batman may use to fight crime. Well, a few minutes ago I stumbled upon a web site that explains how technology has almost caught up with Batman's Gizmos. I found it to be quite interesting. We are all one step closer to becoming the mysterious masked hero.

I Wanna Build a Catapult...

But not really a catapult. Instead I want to build one of those things that spins around and then catches a large object with a sling and flings it a billion miles (that last part might not be exact). I think it's called a Trebuchet.

They're really intimidating and fascinating.

Here's one in action. I've noticed that this video often appears in my dreams. I really want one. You'll understand in a minute.

I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but Depeche Mode is really boring to listen to. Have you noticed that?

College Drop-in

a couple weeks ago I was with my friend Jamie when she told me that she needs to get an essay written because it's due soon. Jamie goes to college. I don't. But I asked her what the essay needed to be on and then I asked if I could write it for her. She explained that the essay was about four major philosophers: Plato, Mills, Aurelius, and Cummings. So I picked up her text book and began to write. I didn't read the text book, I just had it so I could remember how to spell each person's name. Then I wrote her an essay. After Jamie read it, she decided not to turn it in. I was a little disappointed. After all, I just wrote a two page essay and now it was going to go to waste. So I decided to turn it in myself. I got the teachers e-mail address and sent the essay to her. I've included a copy of my essay below: Just a quick note, I don't know anything about any of these philosophers.

My Essay

I believe the it was John Stuart Mills who first said, "All great things must come to an end." This quote has since become one of the most recognized philosophical ideas in the 19th and 20th centuries. As a child, John Mills, or Johnny Stu as his mother would call him, always found himself stargazing or watching the movements of water in the nearby river. Fascinated with the world around him, Johnny Stu would run home to his mother everyday and anxiously tell her of his thoughts and discoveries. He was a happy child with things going well in his life. But at the age of seventeen disaster struck. The Roman empire invaded his village and killed nearly everyone. Johnny Stu and a small handful of villagers came out from hiding to see their houses burnt to the ground and their families dead. This event would later become the cause of Johnny Stu's creation of the Atom bomb. After that horrible disaster, Johnny Stu dropped the name his mother would call him and began going by John Stuart Mills. It was in college where Mills first met Plato. It was a friendship that would last an eternity. Plato would tell Mills of his theories on Latin cinema and Mills would take close note to every detail. The summer after they graduated from Yale, the two of them flew to Athens to study the philosophies of Marcus Aurelius. Aurelius, who was only a few years older than the two, had made a name for himself after sir Isaac Newton nominated him for the Nobel Prize for Aurelius' theory on Quantum physics. The three men shared with the world their ideas, shedding light upon confusion. They entered into a contract with a local printing press to mass produce their text books. This worked well for a few years but with the media technology rising, Mills thought it was important to keep up with the times. With his ideas, Aurelius' organizational skills, and Plato's past history in Latin cinema, the three of them joined up with famous executive producer E. E. Cummings to put forth their first film. An epic documentary about the current state of King Arthur's reign over France. The four men stuck together creating the most well respected quartet of philosophers of all time. The reason Mills wrote the quote about all good things coming to an end was because the three other Philosophers all were killed in a bar fight.I, however, disagree with what he said. I think he was just super-depressed and wanted to vent a little.

Yesterday I finally got a response back from the teacher that I don't have. She gave me a 7 out of 10 for being creative. BOOYAH! Jamie got a 9 out of 10.

All Hack-ed Out

In an attempt to keep myself entertained at work, I've been hacking my portable electronic devices.

I got really far on my PSP which I've been doing various hacks on for the past five months. And there aren't very many hacks that are available to do on the iPod. But it's gottn to the point where I can't possibly think of anything else I'd like these devices to do. I even programmed my iPod to cook me eggs every morning and bring them to my bed before waking me up. So, With a computer that has a lot of blocked websites, an office chair, and a cubicle, what are some things I can do to keep myself happy throughout the day?
Did you happen to notice my "Zoey product placement" in the photo?

Steep and Cheap for Geeks

A co-person that I work with just informed me of a nifty site for Geek purchases. It's www.woot.com. For those of you who are familiar with the popular website www.steepandcheap.com, it's set up almost the same way. They only sell one product at a time, but that product it priced at a very good deal. The big difference between these two sites is that Woot changes their product with each day. Steep and Cheap sells the same thing until it's out of stock. This usually results in multiple products being listed each day. Steep and Cheap, however, is all outdoors stuff (very opposite from Geek stuff). Also , I guess woot has special offers. For example: Tuesdays are two-for-one. Same price, two of the product.
Conclusion: Geeks are just as cool as outdoors-ish people.
